Crested Butte Land Trust projects take on many forms, including conservation easements, land acquisitions, rangeland management, irrigation water improvements, and recreation management. It all begins with willing landowners who want to protect the conservation values of their property through the creation of a conservation easement or the sale of property for conservation purposes. It’s all accomplished with the help of partners, volunteers, and our community. Conserving and caring for lands and waterways is a constant, ever changing task, and after three decades of hard work, we all have a lot to celebrate. The projects below illustrate how we got here today with nearly 6,000 acres of land conserved, thousands pounds of food produced each summer for neighbors in need, miles of barbed wire cleaned up annually, and so much more. We are grateful for your part in getting it all done year after year with so much more to come!
