Season’s Greetings
Winter has finally arrived here in the Gunnison Valley. And each year, the turn toward winter always brings a moment of pause, a chance to reflect on the year we’ve shared and the steady care this community brought to every project. At CBLT, that care is a community act. It’s a partnership on a ranch, a volunteer on a muddy trail, a family choosing to protect their land, or a neighbor giving because they want this place to remain wild and whole.
That spirit carried us through an extraordinary year. And it’s carrying us into the work ahead, including the chance to safeguard the Slate River wetlands, an opportunity that reflects both our history and our future as a conservation community.
Thank you for being part of this work. Your support is what keeps these landscapes thriving season after season. As we welcome the holidays, I’m grateful for all we’ve accomplished together, and for all that’s still possible when this valley comes together.
Warm wishes for a joyful holiday season,
Jake Jones, Executive Director
