Steve was born in Southeast Asia and grew up in the woods of Northern Wisconsin. After degrees in Civil Engineering and Land Planning, he first came to Crested Butte in 1995 while working as the Town Planner for Telluride. After many visits, he and his wife Shannon were fortunate enough to purchase a home in Skyland in 2021. They now find time to downhill ski, alpine ski, bike,  fish, and hike while splitting time between Denver and Crested Butte. More time is CB is planned as their youngest son (of 2) prepares to depart for college. Steve has served in local government as a land planner and town manager in the Florida Keys, Northern Mariana Islands, Telluride, Snowmass, and Denver, and worked for landowners and developers in numerous states.  He now primarily represents landowners throughout Colorado with conservation efforts, entitlements, and rezoning.  Steve and his family welcome the chance to connect with others to enjoy all CB has to offer.
